John Staniunas is a director, choreographer, actor and singer with over 30 years of experience in the theatre. He has directed and choreographed over 200 musicals and plays internationally, nationally and regionally for both professional and university theatres. He has been a member of the Actor’s Equity Association since 1984, performing in musicals and plays. He has an extensive background in musical theatre, and has served as a vocal coach on numerous productions, as well as performing in musical theatre concerts in the US and Europe (Lithuania, Denmark). John was a Fulbright Scholar to Lithuania, directing and teaching all over the country and has since returned to Lithuania to direct and choreograph at two national theatres and two professional theatres. He has taught at numerous universities both in the US and abroad. He specializes in musical theatre technique, directing, Shakespeare, movement (neutral mask) and acting styles.
